had a two hour layover last thursday and went to the northern lights grill. mediocre. i had the marginal walleye sandwich (frozen breaded filet from sysco or something like that and dumped in the fryer). my wife had a chicken breast and vegetable entree which was passable - though the veggies were steaming hot from being in the microwave too long. and my kids split the ubiquitous chicken fingers appetizer which they ate like any other. $50 for three items, two cokes, and two big beers. next time, i will try something else.
on the way back, we had a one hour layover. my wife and kids went to burger king in the northern crossings food court. bk is bk but this place was a cluster - botched order. i, on the otherhand, walked over to charlie's philly grill (a random choice over the 360 burrito place) and was pleasantly surprised. had the #2 philly cheesesteak deluxe (they have ~16 steak and chicken variations) - steak, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and provalone - grilled to order in front of me. then you walk to the end and, like at a subway, a guy tops it off with whatever you want - lettuce, tomato, olives, jalapenos, mild peppers, mayo, italian dressing, etc. $7 for the cheesestake/fries/pepsi combo. it wasn't pat's or geno's from south philly (and what is) but i would definately do it again.
