Mouth-watering Prime Rib @ the Lakeshore Resort

Had another fantastic dinner at the Lakeshore Resort in Huntington Lake this weekend. We have had consistent, wonderful meals here for the past two years since acquiring a condo in the area.

Carafes of ice water are set at each table, so you will never be thirsty or go without your water glass full. I decided on the prime rib and we brought our own "old vine" Ledson zin which was wonderful. (There is an $8 corkage fee.)

The green salad is always fresh and wonderfully prepared with fresh greens, crutons, a cherry tomato and a cucumber slice. Fresh carrot curls are also very tender and sweet. I chose the wet-dry dressing which is the oil & vinegar with crumbled fresh bleu cheese. The bread is served on a small wooden board. Whole wheat, always warm and very fresh.

The prime rib was cooked just right, served with sides of the au jour and horseradish sauce. A very nice size baked potato with lots of sour cream, chives and butter and steamed green beans were the sides with the Prime Rib.

The house was full, as always on the weekends, but the service here is always impeccable and almost doting. (Of course we're pretty well-known here by now which is nice.)

The lake is beautiful, the scenery gorgeous and this perfect dinner was a very nice way to relax and enjoy the area over the long weekend.

Desserts are always good, but we passed this time as we had a fresh strawberry (picked that am from the fields over by where we live) pizza awaiting back at the condo. Bon Appetit!! ***kim*** www.lakeshoreresort.com
