My family has been members of this country club starting with my grandparents for over 45 years. In the last 10 years I've not been very impressed with their food. Passable, better than most chains but nothing special. Tonight I went up to take someone out for a business dinner of sorts at my step-father's insistence. It seems that management has finally realized that they needed to make some changes in order to draw membership from the younger families and I'm happy to report a pleasing dinner. I enjoyed Pistachio Crusted Lamb Chops with asparagus, grape tomatoes and mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes. The lamb was perfectly cooked and the pistachio coating a nice balance, the sauce with the chops was well seasoned and I never picked up the salt or pepper which is quite rare for me. If you have the opportunity to head up, give it a second look.
