Mount Everest - Baltimore (Parkville)

Gateshead | May 20, 2003 01:53 PM

I have read positive messages posted on chowhound.com about Mount Everest Restaurant in the past and decided to try it for lunch today. My expectations were low but was I positively surprised. If you are in the northern area of Baltimore (just inside the beltway), do try and have lunch there. They offer the menu but it is the buffet you want to have. It was great and as close to the original as I have had since leaving their home area. The service was perfect and the ambiance quit nice. Others have noted that the signs out front say Pizza - Subs and Indian Cusine. Do not be put off by the pizza and sub writing. The owners are two brothers from Nepal. One is the cook. This is a wonderful surprise restaurant and worth stopping by. Their buffet is from 11:30 to 2:30, 7 days a week. It is also a BYOB if you like wine with food from the sub-continent. And the best surprise of all, was the price. Very low.....
