Need help! Mother's bday on Peninsula

Rj | Jul 6, 2004 10:39 PM

My mom whose turning 81 is using a walker right now.
Any recommendations for nice, intimate restaurants...not too huge to navigate through in the Burlingame area, or mid-Peninsula?

We've done Il Fornaio, Cafe La Scala...other larger restaurants. Has anyone tried Towles Seafood Cafe on Burlingame Ave? Noticed a few vague comments about Pisces...wondering about that spot, too.

Other possibilities for us are:
John Bentley's in Woodside (if it's open Sunday..will check that out w/a call)

Flea Street Cafe in Menlo Park (Haven't been in a while, but it was 'feminine' which she might like)

Any other ideas? Have a brother flying into SFO that evening, so that's why I was leaning towards Burlingame area. San Mateo, too, would work well.
Thanks for any advice you could offer! :-)
Just don't want a place that's too noisy, as that's not her cup of tea. ;-)
