To paraphrase Little Caeser..."Mother of God, is this
the end of Sloppy Louie's?"
Went by South Street the other day to find that Sloppy
Louie's had disappeared...extensive renovation going
on in it's gutted space. Sloppy Louie's may not have
been the best seafood restaurant in the world, but I
liked it's simple, upretentious food and atmosphere
and communal tables. It was of another era. And it
had the coolest name. I can't believe it disappeared
without notice in the press since it was such an old
landmark. Does anyone know what the story is?
