Mosta Enoteca

just had a wonderful experience at Mosta Enoteca for a friend's birthday. it's a nice small italian eatery located in a strip mall on Washington and Via Marina (upstairs from the Subway). the owner is very involved and came throughout the meal to personally ask how the food or the wine was and to suggest wines for the table. more importantly, the food was excellent. the table shared crostini, italian meat plates, and cheese plates. all were delicious. i think the meat plate had prosciutto, speck, mortadella, salami, and some other ones i couldn't identify. the crostini were very good, especially the chicken liver and bacon one. for the main course my wife and i had the tagliolini with pancetta, the tagliatelli with a ?veal ragu, and split the branzino with caponata. the pasta was excellent and freshly made. the branzino was superb: sweet, sour, and savory. kinda almost tasted like chinese-ish. all in all, great meal. will definitely frequent this place. unfortunately, forgot to bring the camera.
