Morton’s: I think I will return on my own dime.

Thanks to everyone recs in the below post – my friend had over $ 500 in vouchers for Morton’s, so we pretty much tried everything last night – The bread is really good, sort of a big round loaf of onion bread – drinks were great, martinis were super sized. Shrimp cocktail had 4 large shrimp and a nice, non-spicy sauce. Salads were all great, Morton’s house salad, tomato/onion, Caesar and all were huge portions and talk about huge, the steaks were enormous and actually very good, on a par with anything I have had locally and again, huge portions for the money – I had the bone in rib eye, that came out initially too rare, but was adjusted correctly right away – I have a bite of the fillet and it was also very good. We sampled all the deserts, both soufflés, a chocolate thing and apple thing with tons of ice creams, etc and all were great. Service was professional and attentive, can’t comment on the wine list or prices as we did byo. If one splits steaks like we do I think the restaurant presents a pretty good value of portion size to quality and I really like the room, lots or booths and dark lighting, it’s very romantic. Kurt
