Restaurants & Bars 2

As a displaced new yorker- this was my last bastion of hope during my two year assignment in the city that loves you back. But my last visit to Morimoto broke the camel's back.

Their new policy is that even if you sit at the sushi bar, you cannot order directly from the sushi chefs. I feel the ability to interact with your chef is by far and away the #1 one reason to sit at the bar and made me not choose bar seats at Yama, Blue Ribbon, etc....

It is a shame that a renowned chef like morimoto-san does not operate a stand up japenesee establishment. I had to order through a philly waitress who knows as much about buri hamachi as your grandma.

Next time, I will sit at a table an order an omakase with the masses. Why can't one of the best chef's in the world make custom meals like his legacy does at Nobu?

See you at ISO
