Moorpark-German Food

Dave Gee | Oct 15, 2005 11:11 PM

I just came back from TWO GUYS FROM ITALY in Moorpark. Aside from the usual Italian fare they are serving fabulous traditional German food. Tonight I had a pork schnitzel and spaetzel in a hearty mushroom sauce. When I spoke with the owner she explained that she is German and has taught her staff to cook traditional German foods. The average plate of German food on the menu was $13.95 which included salad or soup. Unfortunately the soups offered were clam chowder which was very good, or minestrone. Neither of which are along the lines of German food but nevertheless the main course was out of this world.
The restaurant was immaculate and the service was with a big smile. I will be going back. It is rare to find really good food out in this area of Ventura County.

They are at:
484 E Los Angeles in Moorpark. (Los Angeles Ave at Spring Road)(805) 529-2292

I hope I am not off topic on this board. I posted her believing that Two Guys is no longer a chain. restaurant.
