Montreal/Quebec City Review of my week of dining

Just returned from a week in the lovely Quebec area. Thought I would post my itinerary and thoughts.
1st night-Montreal-Trois Petits Bouchon-I had the grilled caramelized octopus. It was delicious and full of flavor. Loved the atmosphere as well
2nd night-on to Quebec City and La Gueule De Bois. After getting used to the American way of dressing too warm (so hot in the restaurant, I was sweating bullets), we ended up having a wonderful meal. I had their sweet breads and they were perfectly cooked and a delicious sauce. Small but VERY local place. They told me the name meant "the hangover".
3rd night-lunch at Lapin Saute-we have gone here for over 10 years. LOVE everything they do even if in the middle of a touristy street. Had the Cassoulet Lapin. Half of a rabbit and a sausage in dry cooked beans. Best I have ever eaten. Dinner at Le Veau D'or on Rue Saint-Jean. Had a crusty waitress who almost ruined the meal. The food was better than I expected but wouldn't return.
4th night-Le Moine Echanson-a delightful, small local place on Rue St. Jean. Their charcuteries was huge and had foie gras. I asked for some Foie Gras as an extra (not knowing on charcuterie), she apologized for being $9 extra. It was half a lobe. Fantastic. Our waitress was the best in Quebec City. Spent time suggesting wines with each item. I also had the Shiffala and it was out of this world.
5th night-returned to Le Moine Echanson-had the tartiflette and chou fleur. Again a memorable meal. It is our new favorite place.
6th night-Patente et Machin-I had Foie Gras, pork dish and sweet breads again. Sweet breads were the best I had all week. Perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth. The pork was also fantastic. We ate at the bar and watched everything. Two men putting out fabulous food.
7th night-Montreal-Garde Manger-Second visit. Not as much fun as first. I had Gnocchi and a pork dish and wife had the lobster poutine. My food was good, but not fantastic. Wife's poutine had huge chunks of lobster, but past that, it was just ok. I think it was our last visit
8th night-Lemeac-great atmosphere and food, but server was clueless. Nice, but no training. We had to ask for everything. Started taking our order without even asking about drinks. In the middle of our meal (10:00 pm) she said she was leaving and someone else would finish with us. I had calmari that was perfect. Wife's crab cake was very good, but not the best she has had. I would return to try more items and hopefully get a better waitress.
