Philly Chowhounds(2) coming to Montreal at the end of May for three nights and would greatly appreciate some quidance. We want to go where the locals go not the tourists.
We prefer bistro type food, simple ingredients, solid techniques with plenty of character. But would be willing to try any new places that may be considered on the progressive side. Dress up or dress down we will prepare for both.
Have the following short list;
-Au Pied de Cochon
-Scwartzs Deli (wife is a pastramiholic)
What are we missing? What should we skip? What "insitution" best represents Montreal?
Thank you so much. It has been almost ten years since we have been to Montreal and can't wait to return.
