After a few months in L.A., I'm finally venturing into the hinterland between La Cienega and Las Vegas Blvd for Szechuan food. Thinking about Chung King or Best Szechuan in Monterey Park. Two basic questions:
First, where should I go? Currently leaning toward Chung King, but open to suggestions?
Second, considering I don't speak a word of chinese, any suggestions on dishes/getting the food adequately hot. I'm used to Szechuan in Boston/Framingham (jin gui fish, dry cured beef), but this will be my first try on the west coast. Thanks much!
