My husband and I had an excellent lunch today at Montée in the 14th, a very small restaurant which was charming and delightful. In fact, disarmingly so. We chose the Menu Déjeuner for 40€ (rather than the Formule Entrée/Plat/Dessert for 32€). Dinners are 80€, a bit high and we haven’t been in the evening, but I can't imagine you don’t get fair value. Each one of the courses we had was perfectly prepared and delicious, which is in itself impressive. For some reason the cooking reminded me of Fulgurances under Céline Pham, very light and creative. And after the 6-8 small dishes we really didn’t feel uncomfortably full, thus had no problem enjoying dinner that night. Really - go! This is a place I could easily lunch at every week. And it’s just a 10 minute walk behind the Luxembourg Gardens.
