Went to this place for the first time last week. Wow it is a step back in time. It is in a neghborhood in South County/City. It is in what appears to be what we called a ratskellar when we grew up. The owners who are old, live above the place.
The Pizza and toasted Rav are both excellent and homemade. (sausage on the pizza).
When I ordered onions on the pizza, the waitress exclaimed how good their onions were. I have been eating onions on pizza for 45+ years and I don't recall ever hearing any one say their onions were particularly good.
The creamy Roquefort salad dressing is homemade and outstanding.
The onion rings seemed out of a package.
Some reviews online raved about their fried chicken which I really wanted to try. They no longer serve that. They are now chicken tenders which I passed on.
Also, some sites say they take charges.
They do not.
The pizza is St. Louis style but with 5 cheeses and homemade crust.
Really outstanding and the sausage was also outstanding.
The waitress Georgia was super nice. Has been there for years and knew I was a first timer... Because she KNOWS everyone who has been there !
