Monkfish Liver aka Ankimo?

I suspect it may be a lost cause, but I've been trying to obtain Monkfish liver, either fresh or frozen, in the hopes of making some Ankimo. Has anyone seen this being sold anywhere in SF? Does anyone know where the Japanese restaurants get their liver from?
