So, I was watching Michael Smith's show, Chef at Home, and liked the looks of the "Monkey Bread". Had never heard of this before, but it's got all the ingredients of cinnamon buns and looked yummy!!!
Decided to try the recipe, and for sure there's something wrong with it as printed on the foodtv.ca website.
There was no way that dough was coming off the sides of the mixer bowl, and I've done a bunch of fixes with more flour, yeast, etc. to finally get to a bread-like dough. It's rising now, and we'll see what my patch-up job yields...
In the meantime, I've checked the Internet for other recipes; so many of them use those Pillsbury rolls, and I don't want to... Found a recipe on Martha Stewart that looks promising:
But, just maybe some Chowhounder out there has a fabulous recipe to share... Please, please, please!!!
