Monday lunch between the Vatican & Pza Pilotta

Anyone have any recommendations as to where to eat on a Monday between Vatican City and Piazza delle Pilotta? The latter is located about three blocks south of Trevi, at the point where Corso Vittorio Emmanuele II peters out onto via Quattro Novembre.

I have to be at the piazza by 3:30 and I won't be able to get to any restaurant before about 1:00.

How much time would the bus take? I think the 59 (?) runs that route.

Is there any neighborhood along that route that is chow-worthy? My recollection is that Pilotta, being close to the Trevi Fountain would not be the ideal good cheap eating destination, but that east and slightly north of the Vatican would be better.

I think that Cacio e Pepe is a bit too distant and off my route.
