I just wanted to recommend this again after a recent visit
I was concerned that after they were closed for some months due to a fire, that it would have lost much of its unreconstructed charm. I am delighted to say that it hasn't and still offers teriffic if a little pricey French bistro cookery.
A starter of Onion soup was sufficiently dark and rich, and they still excel at classical slow cooked dishes such as Coq Au Vin etc. Not terribly fashionable but meaty and delicious and perfect for winter
Service is reliable and attentive and my date enjoyed it probably a good deal more than my company. Damn those court restraining orders!!
Well worth a try for a romantic evening
