Okay, so my mom's birthday is coming up. While I love her to death, I am NOT looking for top-of-line recommendations. The last time I did that, they asked the waiter if the mains came with soup and salad, and vegetables and potatoes. They had sticker shock before they heard the answer to their question, and were downright appalled after they heard the answer to their question.
You can take the peasant out of the village but you can't take the village out of the peasant. Is that how the saying goes??
Anyway, my parents like either traditional Chinese (no fusion, please) or seafood. They are very very very picky about seafood (i.e., if it wasn't swimming 5 minutes prior to it arriving at the table, they won't eat it). They like Dragon Dynasty and Ambassador, but I'm thinking there are loads of other restaurants that fit their criteria. However, I don't dine uptown very often so I'm looking for recommendations from my fellow hounds.
Please and thank you! :)
Oh, and a gwai lo seafood restaurant is fine also, so long as it has super-fresh seafood.
