Molly's Pub

Hugh DeMann | Jun 2, 2008 05:35 PM

I went to Molly's the other night because of the great ratings for burgers and onion rings. BIG disappointment.
The atmosphere is OK, sawdust, dim lighting, vintage photos, etc. The burger was about 2 lbs of lean meat on a tiny bun. One of the keys to a good burger is the ratio between meat and bun. Who decided that more meat means a better burger? (maybe the same person who decided that bagels as big as pillows are better than normal-sized bagels?) This one was, to put it simply: too much meat.
The onion rings were freshly made and very good, but a tad greasy.
The service? So lousy that I left no tip.
Onward and upward.
