Molcajete Curing!

supriya25 | May 2, 201706:47 AM     2

I have a Molcajete and it still leaves behind grits post grinding raw, soaked rice and beans around 15 times (all put together). What am I doing wrong?

I am attaching pictures of the Molcajete and Tejolote on this post for reference. The Molcajete is super heavy and kind of crude with 3 legs as you can see but, I am not sure what the brown content is between the pores. My hunch is that it keeps coming out on grinding with a little force. Please tell me it is not a fake one. Help!!!
