Had dinner on Labor Day at this new incarnation of
Harvest East (on Court Street in Cobble Hill -- same
owner, more colorful look). They were out of almost
everything because of the holiday, but we were amused
to discover that as with Harvest East, I loved my meal
and my husband found his to be just okay. He had
empanadas (average) and then pork (a bit bland). I
had the crab potstickers (real crab, flavorful and
delicate) and bass. The bass was served under a crisp
crust and over a bed of soft corn, and the flavors and
textures blended together perfectly. The only
disappointment for me was their signature "sake
mojito" which tasted overwhelmingly of very tart
lemon. It does seem that the Asian part of this
Latin/Asian menu is its strength.

We'll go back and try the salmon and duck and
guacamole and some night when they have those, but
just thought I'd get the ball rolling in the meantime
in case anyone else has opinions on this place...
