Some friends and I have all been to Quiote several times recently and the consensus is thumbs up.
It is a tiny (7 small tables if they are all separated) Mexican restaurant on Blue Mound at 58th. Charming? No. Upscale or fancy? No. Liquor? No. Wonderful food, reasonable prices and friendly service? Yes!
The consistent highlights are the Chicken with Coloradito Mole, the Guacamole and the Chorizo Huarache.
I am always thrilled to see a little ethnic place open and do well. It takes a special kind of person to leave their homeland and set up a restaurant in a totally foreign land. And I am lucky there are people that will make that endeavor.
