MIU Silicone Baking Sheet Burned? Scared!

JenniferLim | Jul 24, 202008:57 AM     8

Hello, Last night I reheated some french fries on an MUI silicone baking sheet. The fries caught on fire inside the oven. I got them out in time before anything major happened (fire-wise, thank goodness), and while the baking sheet is relatively intact, there are brown/burned marks on it, AND a corner of the sheet appears torn/scorched. I honestly don't know if it was torn before this episode, but I assume not since there were burned/scorch marks around it. Anyway this episode created tons of smoke in the house, so I'm concerned whether the smoke was toxic due to burned silicone, and also whether you suggest using the silicone baking mat is safe to use again? Thanks!
