If the field trip to Mitsuwa is still on, I'd just like to post this note of caution: I went yesterday for the first time on a weekend and, not surprisingly, is was considerably more crowded than I found it to be on my weekday visits. This was not a problem except at the food court, where my family of four first tried to get lunch at around 12:30. All the tables were taken, though, and there were a considerable number of folks, like us, milling about trying to grab the first available table. (There were large groups of teenagers there -- seems to be quite the hangout on the weekends.) We gave up after a while; I took the kids to the toy section for an hour or so and then we we tried again to find a table. Still no luck; finally a nice couple took pity on me (or more likely my very hungry-looking daughters) and "saved" their table for us so we were finally able to sit down. So if you're planning on sitting together in a large group to discuss your great food finds, I'd suggest going really early or later, maybe, and having an early dinner. Don't miss the gelato, though -- it's great.
