Mitchell's Ice Cream in Alameda

Howdy folks! I was wondering around Marina Village this morning and noticed a sign outside the Good Day Cafe that said "serving Mitchell's Ice Cream". Intrigued, I walked in to check things out. The place looked spruced up and new, which I found out was the case as the new owners, Eric and his wife(?) have only be open for 3 weeks. They're still working out their menu, but the intent is to use European ingredients where possible (Illy coffee, Damann tea, flour, crepe recipe & maker ) as well as a good mix of Californian ingredients. The things I noticed on the board today that sounded interesting were the Chipotle Turkey Panni and the Expresso Sundae. BTW, the flavors of Mitchell's in the case are Avocado, Thin Mint, Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry and Oreo. Eric said they'll be changing the name soon to something more in keeping with the European-influenced theme. This cafe is located in the alley right behind the large statue across the parking lot from the bank. Enjoy!
