Misti Restaurant/Pollo A Las Brasas

Well.....we FINALLY made it to Main Street Port Chester. I grew up in Port Chester and for the life of me can't remember what used to be there...I think 25+ years ago it was the Marks Brothers'Fruit/Veg stand.
Anyway...YUM! We went to Misti/Pollo A Las Brasas for the first time. I had Arroz con Camarones (Rice w/shrimp)It was very flavorful with an abundance of shrimp...2 adults could have eaten from this platter.
Interestingly, it seemed they used frozen mixed veg in the rice but the rice must have been cooked in a tomato/cilantro 'broth'. It really was good-and the shrimp were not at all rubbery. Nothing worse than rubbery shrimp. Hubby had the 1/4 rotisserie chicken with a HEAP of sticky, yummy (Canilla?) rice & 'salad' which I believed to be a few leaves of iceberg with some tomatoes and some funky, but tasty, lime juice & mayo concoction. Had the Inca cola for the first time in 10 years...tastes like bubble gum. The food was good and the price was even better...$19! 2 Entrees and 2 sodas...you simply can't beat it!
