Not too much discussion on the board about this place - we've been the past 2-3 times we wanted sushi - If Oishii, etc. is the top tier, this place is an excellent second tier. It does not look like much from the outside - in a new stripmall on VFW that also has a Bertucci's and JP Licks. As you enter, there is a rather large coy pond with rather large coy adjacent to the hostess station.
The regular sushi is good and they have a number of interesting novel roll combos - the one we're enjoying currently is the Hurricane Roll - spicy tuna, wrapped in avocado with fried taro strings on top. Messy, crunchy, yummy. They also have a number of unusual apps for a second tier place. They have Hotate Yaki for example, although it is not served bubbly in the scallop shell like Oishii, still pretty good.
Not saying you should drive out from the city, but it is as good as JP Seafood, if not better in my opinion.
