miscellany in London

Hi

Have just moved back to London from NYC (my hometown) and have new questions about the place:

* Where can I find good bread -- preferably in central London? As in the kind of bread I used to buy at Balthazar Bakery or Sullivan Street or Amy's Bread ? I've been to the local farmers' markets, Le Flaneur, Villandry, and Selfrigde's Food Hall and still haven't found bread that's got good texture and flavors. I used to think bread here was quite good?

* Is there a kitchen/bake shop that sells boxes for cakes and cookies -- like the Broadway Panhandler sells in its baking section?

Is there a useful site that would answer these questions? Time Out is quite good, but its website is very spartan.

Thanks in advance.
