Miracle Grill, Jewel Bako Makimono, Westville East Review

Nancy | Sep 2, 2004 09:49 AM

Last night my husband and I went to Miracle Grill for cocktails, Jewel Bako Makimono for dinner, and Westville East for dessert. Each was fabulous. The drinks were perfect for a summer night. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed a drink called the "Jackie O", which was pineapple infused Skyy vodka with lime juice, cranberry juice and a bit of triple sec. The dinner at Jewel Bako Makimono was also perfect. The eel especially, both sea and fresh water, was delicate and flavorful. The fish was the freshest I've had in a while and the sushi rice was the best I've ever had. The service was most gracious. Finally, dessert at Westvill East was the perfect finish. We had peach pie with vanilla ice cream and a chocolate layer cake with chocolate ice cream (and more vanilla ice cream). Both were absolutely fresh and flavorful. The service at Westville East was also welcoming.
