If you're going crazy between now and Thanksgiving, you can always call 1 800 BUTTERBALL. As long as it's the turkey kind of crazy. Any other kind of crazy, well...you're going to need a different help-line.
No, really, when everybody here is too busy actually cooking to be on-line, you can still call the nice people at Butterball. They've helped a lot of people cook a better bird.
Me, I'm happy not to be cooking at all and will be driving from SF to San Luis Obispo. It's right near Hearst Castle, and thanks to the fine chowhounds on the California board, we're all set for some great chow.
This is my first Thanksgiving posting to chowhound.com and I'd like to tell you on the Home Cooking Board what I'm most grateful for. I've gotten so many wonderful ideas from you that I don't know where to start. I'm tempted to make a long list, but everybody's busy, and I gotta go. So I'll just say, thank you ALL, chowhound chefs! Let's face it, we're a cut above those hounds who are only eaters, and not cooks. They'll never know our divine highs when we perfect a difficult dish or our soul stirring lows when we produce a disaster. But, thanks to the Home Cooking board, we've got the support we need to cook it right.
Chowhound-chefs, I love you all.
