Last minute Barcelona and San Sebastian trip - I'm hungry!

orenshapiro | May 16, 201703:35 PM     7

Hello -

My wife and I just booked a last-minute trip to Barcelona and San Sebastian. 5 nights in Barca starting the 27th of May, and then 4 nights in SS starting June 1st.

While we are likely woefully late for any of the BIG name restaurants, I'm hoping the chowhound crew can help with some places that you may not need a reservation, or nice places where you can sit at the bar and have a great meal.

While we are working with our hotel to try and arrange at least 2-3 "nicer" dinners, normally in NYC (where we live), we prefer spots that are somewhat local, loud, fun, with awesome food. Think Joseph Leonard or Marc Forgione at the bar, rather than going to Per Se or Babbo (not that we'd be opposed or don't like either).

I will spend the next week scouring all the posts having to do with this, but thought I'd reach out for some last minutes assistance.

Gracias!
