Hit it twice for takeout.
Tried the Borrejo (lamb shank) and Beef Colorado.
Highly recommend both.
The rice, beans and tortillas are good--but pretty standard. Both the Borrejo and Beef Colorado were in rich complex sauces using real dried chiles for depth.
A real breath of chow fresh air in the twin cities.
Don't ask me where this is, all I can tell you is how Yahoo routed me from my hotel near Golden Valley:
--exit Tracey Ave
--follow Tracey ave as it winds circuitously down to where it ends, then turn left on 70th(??) st.
--go several blocks east and turn right onto Ahmansen Ave, which is basically in the back end of an old mall area
.and you will see it on your right.
