Make ahead Mini Monkey Bread

I have done monkey bread in the past - basic baking powder biscuit dough made into balls, rolled in cinnamon/sugar and butter and then glazed. I want to do it again for Christmas morning but I don't want to go through the whole think Christmas morning -so I'm looking for ways to speed it up.

One idea I'm planning on doing is using a mini bundt instead of a big bundt -so they will cook faster -and my kids will like have their own!

But I'm trying to think about ways to make the dough ahead of time....I've read where I can't refrigerate the dough for very long -can I cut in the butter and add the milk in the morning? And thoughts/ideas would be appreciated!
