Ming Tsai water disappointment

SeaSide Tomato | Apr 13, 2008 05:48 PM

I heard an ad with Ming Tsai selling Owater today. I was saddened to hear this. I have no concerns about him selling something--but water?? I really want to like Ming and respect him. But bottled water is just over the top.

Sure, perhaps this is a particularly fine bottled water with advantages above other bottled waters--but it's still bottled water. Unnecessary and terrible for the environment.

Funnily enough I heard a statistic on 92.5 today--it takes 5 gallons of water to produce one gallon of bottled water--and 90% of the plastic ends up in landfills. While I need to check the numbers out, it's just ironic to hear them both today.

Filtering is a good option for those with concerns about tap--myself included.
