Ming Dynasty - Thanks!

Went this weekend at suggestion of board; very tasty dim sum that handily beats Jing Fong (our usual bring-the-out-of-towners choice). About 2/3 the size of JF's mammoth room, located under Manhattan Bridge, Market, off East Broadway. Odd smell in the staircase up to the dining room.

Veggie potstickers with fresh, crunchy veggies. Moist shu mai. Excellent pai gwot (sparerib bits), very flavorful with heavy garlic. Large wok station with black bean clams, snails, greens. And, bowls of pig blood with chives, a Fukienese dish that was "just like mom makes."

Men's room has an attendant, like Jing Fong at times. Very cold in there, BTW. And, if you order soda (I know, whatta lo fan), they'll bring a one liter bottle for $2.50.
