I had quite a different experience than most, judging from the posts below.
Went on Sunday nite at 6:00, which is a good time if you don't want to wait too long for your food. We only waited maybe 1/2 hr. after ordering. We had all the same experiences regarding wait with utensils, glasses, menus, water, etc. but none of it was an issue.
But other than the apps (veggie samosa and pakora were amazing) the food itself was just okay.
Entrees left a little to be desired: The saag was bland and not spicy and insanely buttery. Chicken tikka masala was decent, but not very strongly spiced (and bright pink in color!). The shrimp masala was really good, but tasted more like a thai curry, and was skimpy on the shrimp and still really greasy. We also got an eggplant dish which was just okay, but still worth the 1.99 ticket.
I would have ordered the dishes spicy, but after reading earlier posts I didn't think it would be necessary.
With the exception of the rice (which was kind of gross and flavorless and filled an entire dinner plate) portions were pretty small. My shrimp dish was 7.99, which was pretty overpriced for what I got. They didn't have any naan, so we got roti was good/decent, even though they only brought us 2 of the 3 we ordered.
A couple of my first choices were not available, but when I pressed the waiter (who is the son of the owner and normally doesn't work there) for suggestions/favorites, he just kind of gestured to everything else on the menu.
That all said, I will definitely go back. It's right around the corner from my house and though underwhelmed the first time, I tend to believe everything I read and know CH wouldn't steer me that wrong.
