I'd planned to finally try Mina tonight with a few friends, and now find that the crowd has swelled to 8. Does anyone know if they'd take reservations, and if not, would an unreserved party of 8 work there, given what's been described as the place's nonprofessional, home kitchen character? What, if you know, might the wait be like if we landed there around 8-ish? If we did get seated, how long should we be prepared for the meal to take?
My companions are very into the idea, but I want to make sure they know what they're in for, especially since we're coming from Manhattan and I don't know them all (friends of friends), such that I can't gauge whether they're all willing to go to the same lengths as I am for a good meal.
If Mina doesn't seem like a viable option given the circumstances, can someone recommend a South Asian place (or some other type of place, if you have one that you particularly like and that would be great for our situation) in Queens that's really good and *would* work?
I'll be grateful for any help on this.
