Milwaukee Ave - out to the burbs - future Chowhound event?

Hi All!

Yesterday took me out into the hinterland of the north burbs (Lincolonshire, just off of Milwaukee Ave).

On my drive back along Milwaukee Ave (in the midst of a near Monsoon so I likely missed many places) I noted a fairly surprising number of chowhoundlikely places scattered amongst the otherwise dreadful suburban sprawl.

Little Korean markets, noodle shops and the like, some intriguing Eurpean bakeries, and a few other likely candidates (and not including those famous/infamous spots like Bob Chins).

If I do ever find myself once again out that way, are there any places that Chowhounds would recommend I try? As well, it strikes me that Milwaukee Ave - starting at the Loop and working our way out of the city and into the burbs (and beyond) could be a really interesting Chowhound event.

A very wide range of places, very diverse (and distinctive) communities, and lots of hole-in-the-wall places.
