Milltown in Carrboro has upped its food game

They have an Octoberfest menu going this month. I got the weinershnitzel and my friend got the rouladen. My friend, who is a trained chef, really enjoyed his dish saying ti was quite authentic. I thought my shnitzel was a little bit over-fried but tasty nonetheless and the German potato salad was spot on. We got enjoyed the Spaten Octoberfest beer.

Then last Saturday my wife and I had brunch there, I had the biscuits with fried chicken breast, two fried eggs, gravy and choice of home fries, french fries, or salad (what I got)-- for $8! My wife got the Irish breakfast. She is a light eater (unlike me) and by the clean plate I'm guessing she enjoyed it.

Looks like the folks at Milltown are trying to bring up their food to be on par with its sister The Federal in Durham.
