How many milliliters in the Soviet measuring cup called a "glass"

If you get recipes from countries in the former Soviet Union (e.g., Latvia), there is a measure that is often used called a "glass". I've seen this glass before on visits to different places in the Soviet Union: It has a smooth top edge, scalloped sides and it looks like it could be a little more than a cup.
But if I want to make any of the baking recipes, I would prefer to know exactly how many milliliters are in a "glass". Does anyone know how many milliliters or ounces are in a Soviet "glass"?
