Last weekend I had dinner in Milano at one of my favourite places, near Piazza Republicca, and, when asked 'Pesce or Carne?' I said 'pesce' and then followed for the umpteenth time one of the best meals I have ever had. Twelve seperate dishes and the tastes!!! Do not order from the menu (ah, but if you're American then you will won't you!)
Twelve 'courses' all lovingly cooked with Amazing flavours.
And get this - 12 courses, great food, white and red wine and an offered 'Averna' all for 50 Euros per person!
Don't believe me? Go to Il Carpaccio at Via Palazzi - tel: +39 (02) 29405982 - (near Jolly Hotel) and check-it out.
Once you've had an amazing meal send me a check!
Warning this is NOT a Michelin. It's Italian at it's best so you have to leave your American, British or French expectations at the door. Let me know anybody who goes and what you think.
It's impossible not to love this place. Worthy of a detour (I do it all the time).
