New Middle Eastern: Shoom Shoom

Fromthe people who brought you Mashu Mashu in Forrest Hil Village, Shoom Shoom is now open at Bayview and Steeles. Its similar food to Me Va me and Mashu Mashu, but in a more refined environment and more selection. Excellent schwarma, amazing salads, huge skkewars, some interesting appetizers such as whole roasted eggplant, tremendous portions, great service. I much prefer it to Mashu mashu as its is quieter and unrushed. Also, one can try more things because of the larger menu. May be a little out of the way fore many people, but much better than Me Va Me in terms of quality. I would definitely recommend it. For serious eaters, you cant beat the portions and reasonable prices. I ordered a chciken skewar dinner (huge portion of two large skewars) comes with a salad (I upgraded from mixed greens to a great Shoom Shoom salad with mushrooms and goat cheese), and a mixed salad plate of babganoush, humous, pickles and olives, and matbucha (a tomato spread kind of thing). Wonderful.
