Hey Chow community. Heading to New Orleans for the first time. we enjoy food very much and are excited to experience the city. We pretty much eat anything. we are a couple, one non-drinker and no food allergies. I usually try to get a mix of modern and traditional experiences when we travel. Not looking for cheap eats and also not looking for the MOST expensive. Enjoy good quality well prepared food. We are staying in the CBD near the French Quarter. This is the list so far...
Acme OR Felix's - check in at 4:00, don't really want to worry about making a reservation. Thought this would be a good introduction, get a look at the French Quarter. Thinking of trying Acme and if it is is crazy busy, we will head across the street to Felix's
Turkey & the Wolf - lunch - hoping to get there early enough to get a table. What will that take on a Monday?
Compere Lapin - Dinner - great buzz about this place... Is it worth the hype?
Commander's Palace - Lunch
Coquette - Dinner. This is the same day as Commander's Palace - are we going to be eating too much?
Willa Jean - Breakfast
Parkway OR French Market - Po' Boy time unless we had one at Acme/Feliz's. If French Market, what would be a good choice there?
Cochon - Dinner
Shaya - Lunch. Couldn't decide on Lunch or Dinner here and decided on lunch as many items are the same and at similar price points.
Clancy's - Thought this would be nice for a more traditional choice. Is it still good or should I sub something else here?
Looking forward to hearing responses. thank you in advance. I have always had good help on here and value the opinions of The Chow Community
