Microwave over Small Oven on Bakers Rack need insulation in between ?

cacsp | May 5, 201811:35 AM     6

I I have this metal bakers rack where for the last ten years I have had a Kenmore compact Microwave on the rack above and the EuroPro small oven below it back to back. I rarely use them at the same time but recently I have been using them simultaneously so there is heat radiating up to the microwave. I had to replace my micro due to rust holes in the cavity with a cheaper brand DAEWOO until I remodel my kitchen. The instructions clearly say not to put it near any heat radiating appliance. I am scared to continue operating the same as in the past and need some insulating recommendations to place under the microwave to protect it from any rising heat. Should I switch position? or get some insulation ? Would really appreciate some instructions as I have very little counter space to work with.
