Microwave corn on the cob?

I am making dinner for adults and kids- and need to make corn on the cob for just the kids since they will not eat more gourmet stuff and am hoping to eliminate another pot. What is the best and easiest wasy to microwave corn on the cob?

I find it easiest to remove it from the husk, clean off the silk, roll each ear in a sheet of waxed paper and microwave for 3 - 4 minute per ear. The amount of time you'll need per ear depends on the power of your microwave.

I actually peel off the husk and wrap in plastic wrap. I put it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes, but then I let it stand for about 10 because it is CRAZY hot.

I peel back the outside of the husk, clean the center w/ the silk, wrap the husks back on and then microwave 2-3 minutes until done.

I just made what I call "cobbies" last Monday. I cut the cobs into 2-3 inch pieces, boil for just a few minutes, drain. Then I let them cool and we ate them last night. Brng to room temperature, and then I toss them in a pot with butter, salt and pepper, and cumin, paprika, and lime butter with cilantro. Then I just lay out for all to eat. But if you want to you can do the same, just cover the bowl with plastic and mw. Then you can toss in butter flavorings as exotic or general as you wish.
Honestly to cover the cobbs individually you rish either burnin yourself or whomever is unwrapping the cobb. Just cover the entire bowl. There is quite a bit of liquid that comes from the corn, just so you know its hot, and best to add your butter after you drain the liquid off.

The first post was THE CORRECT ANSWER - rw orange had it right the first time.
You can husk, wrap, peel, etc. OR you can put it in the microwave as is (3 in a triangle formation will take 6-7 minutes. When it is cool enough to husk, you will find that the silks come off all at once. There is extra flavor picked up from steaming in the husk. Why on earth would you bother with all the extra prep?

Agree with rw and her first post...this is as simple as it could be.

Put the corn, with its husks, with everything, in the microwave for 2 minutes. Let cool
thirty seconds to a minute. Then when you peel back the husk, everything -- the husk and the silk -- come cleanly off. The husk does the same thing as any plastic wrap or wax paper -- it holds in the steam released from the corn. No need to use anything else.
