Michael's in Timonium

M-L. | Oct 1, 2002 09:03 PM

Was in Timonium on business last week and was referred to Michael's on York Road as a good crabcakes source. The good news -- the crabcakes (broiled) were top notch! I've eaten crabcakes in various places in Balto and elsewhere, but these topped all -- huge chunks of tasty meat, very little filler, and no overly pungent green pepper or spices to overwhelm the crabmeat. The bad news -- everything else was mediocre to pretty dismal. Where anymore do restaurants serve "baked" potatoes in foil?! Maybe it's a local thing, mayo instead of tartar sauce and bottled ketchup with horseradish. Ah, well. I went for the crabcakes, and they were super.
