As tourists to the City with another couple we opted to eat at Jordans steak place in Grand Central...it was an easy walk from the hotel as well as being in a great building. But, and a big 'but' it is, the dinners were nothing more than one would get at any steak house and perhaps even not that good. We all had steak; my bone-in strip was tough and my wifes filet had a nasty sinewy thing running through the middle. The presentation wasn't very creative either...a big white plate with a lonley piece of water cress and the cooked cow part isn't too appetizing. Sides were on the side so that couldn't have helped matters. A little creativity like sprinkled parsley or drizzled juice can go a long way.
And, one of the drinks was completely wrong...red Dubonnet rather than white.
Overall, not a good experience. Next time we're in the Big Apple we'll head off for a restaurant that doesn't play on it's big name and prey on the tourists.
