Mias in Saco

We were sorry to see Lily Moon closed, but Mias was a nice surprise. We went last Sat nite, and they were very busy. I had a special -sea bass over sushi rice, with a sauce with asian flavor. It was delicious. Rice was formed, and edges seemed toasted, which gave it a great flavor and texture. Fish was fresh, and done perfectly. Our daughter had the grilled shrimp risotto, served with mussels. Also very nice. For an appetizer I had the leek and mushroom torte, the filling was delicious but the pastry was quite tough. My husband had the pear and gorgonzola salad, which was very good. We had sorbet and ice cream for desserts. Not very impressive, but then we probably should have gone with the apple crostini, which looked great.
Someone reported elsewhere that it is BYOB. They have a nice, if brief, wine list now.
Maybe it was BYOB before they secured a liquor license.
We'll definitely return, maybe try their brunch menu. They have brunch every day exc Mon, when they're closed. Brunch menu is on website, listed below, and it definitely is brunch and not lunch. Strange to have brunch all week long, and no lunch, but great when you want something other than typical sandwich/salad/soup for lunch.
Menu was a little more extensive that what shows on the website: www.miasatpepperellsquare.com, but it gives you a good idea of the selection and price range. It really is nice to again have a good restaurant in this area.
